TikTok appears to have a strange problem where you cannot follow anyone. So when I use a VPN and use my second TikTok account and I try to follow someone sometimes and I refresh the page, the button still shows I have not followed anyone. This is, to me, a very terrible user experience, just like the majority of social websites. I don't have TikTok on my phone anyway.
