East and West of Hefei

Today I am going to east Hefei. This is one of my lesser known places around here. I am going to walk many kilometers, hopefully lose 1 kg of weight, and Basically enjoying ourselves!

So we hop on the subway line 4 near USTC, pick a comfortable seat, put on earphones, and off we go.

Half an hour later we arrive at a station. I saw on Amap there are some green places and parks around. Anyway, I get out of subway, and it wasn't very good. There are dirty waters on the ground with gew shops and worn down houses. We walk along the road and arrive at a bridge.

Upon crossing the bridge there is this nice park, and I see a group of construction workers, as well as some people fishing in the lazy noon. Mostly on the west side there are construction sites, while on the east side everything is well constructed, with tall residential buildings and just a really nice park with few people.

I walked around 2 km along the river and walked out to buy water. The streets are nice and quiet. The place is called China Net Valley.

I walked several more kilometers along the riverside and I got stopped by this bridge in construction. So I went back to cross the river to the other side. In the suburban everything is sparse, so merely getting somewhere near on the map takes like 5 kilometers.

Turned out there was no way to cross the river. There was a high-speed train on top of me. I walked many more kilometers and arrived at Fanhua Road, which is interesting because this road stretch so long across south Hefei. There were lots of noisy trucks on the road and I reckon I better go home.

Walking southward it was the typical suburban. Then out of nowhere there was a really nice park with many people. Near the road everything seems newly constructed and nice, with some buildings and living compounds still in construction. Anyway, my phone battery is running out and I need to go back, unfortunately.

Today I walked to the west of Hefei. Most of the places are industrial places. I walked along the river and when i arrived at the west of Hefei, there are many beautiful tall residential buildings rising, and many beautiful parks. But there is just this significant divide over South JinZhai road and JiangHui Road and you can see literally differences on each side of the street: beautiful, modern buildings and shopping malls and worn down old houses. The bridges are very beautiful.
